The 40 Shore A rubber compound is deliberately soft, producing the maximum deflection under load of all grades in the family, a characteristic that translates into superior attenuation of the low-frequency energy generated by generators, heavy presses, conveyors and similar high-mass equipment, while simultaneously protecting surrounding structures and improving operator comfort. Rubber-to-metal bonded construction keeps the elastomeric element positively retained under dynamic loading, and the geometry accommodates loading in compression, shear or a combination of both. The soft durometer makes this grade particularly well matched to sensitive or precision machinery, pharmaceutical processing lines and food-production equipment among them. Where mechanical disturbance must be minimised and floor transmission reduced without sacrificing the levelling function. For applications demanding enhanced chemical resistance, oil-resistant or high-temperature rubber compounds are available on request, as are stainless steel metalwork variants and additional custom sizes.
