Lifting heavy loads in confined workshop or factory environments demands equipment that combines mechanical reliability with compact design. The Draper Expert 82461 Chain Hoist Chain Block, rated to a 3000 kg safe working load, is engineered to deliver controlled, dependable lifting where overhead clearance and available space are restricted. At the heart of the mechanism is a triple spur geared shaft and pinion arrangement which provides smooth load progression whilst the integrated load braking system maintains the load securely at any point in the lift. Double pawls add a further layer of retention preventing unintended descent and ensuring the load holds firm under sustained suspension. The compact gear housing is deliberately proportioned to allow operation in areas of limited clearance making this hoist suitable for workshops and production facilities where conventional larger units would be impractical. The welded chain is manufactured to a high quality standard and both the upper and lower load hooks are fitted with safety latches to prevent accidental disengagement of slings or lifting attachments. The unit has been tested and certified to BS EN 13157 the harmonised European standard governing hand-powered lifting equipment. Supplied with a 3 m lift height and a test load rating of 4 the hoist weighs 25 kg. Hook aperture is 46 mm accommodating a range of standard beam and trolley installations. Supplied as one complete chain hoist chain block unit.
