At the heart of this chain hoist is a triple spur geared shaft and pinion working in conjunction with a load braking mechanism and double pawls to maintain secure control of suspended loads. The compact gear housing is designed specifically to permit operation in areas of limited clearance making this hoist suitable for workshop bays and factory installations where overhead space or working room is restricted. The lifting chain is high-quality welded construction and both the upper suspension hook and the lower load hook are fitted with safety latches to prevent accidental disengagement of the load during use. The unit carries a safe working load of 2 000 kg has been proof-tested at 3 000 kg and provides a maximum lift height of 3 metres. The hook aperture measures 36 mm and the complete hoist weighs 16 kg. This product is tested and certified to BS EN 13157 the relevant European standard for manually operated lifting equipment providing documented assurance of compliance for professional workshop and industrial environments. Supplied as one complete Chain Hoist/Chain Block unit rated at 2 tonne capacity.
