The Draper Expert 82446 Chain Hoist/Chain Block with a 1-tonne safe working load is designed precisely for these professional applications, offering a robust solution where space is at a premium. At the heart of the unit is a triple spur geared shaft and pinion mechanism incorporating load braking and double pawls delivering controlled secure lifting with each operation. The compact gear housing is a deliberate design choice allowing the hoist to be deployed in areas of limited clearance where larger units would be impractical. The load chain is high quality and welded throughout with safety latches fitted to the load hooks to prevent accidental disengagement during use. The hoist carries a safe working load of 1 000 kg and was tested to a load of 1. The lift height is 3 metres the hook aperture measures 32 mm and the complete unit weighs 10.5 kg. The 82446 is tested and certified to BS EN 13157:2004 the European standard for manually operated hoists providing confidence that the equipment meets recognised safety requirements for professional use. Supplied as a single chain hoist/chain block unit this product is part of the Draper Expert range a line developed to meet the demands of trade and workshop professionals.
