The Draper 83801 Coarse Hand Taps set addresses this by combining taper and plug (bottoming) taps in a single pack, giving the workshop professional the correct sequence of taps to open a thread progressively before finishing it to full depth. Both taps are manufactured from high carbon steel with accurately cut threads ensuring reliable engagement and consistent thread form across the working life of the tool. The thread pitch for the 10mm size is 1.25mm conforming to standard coarse metric thread specifications. The pack contains one taper tap and one plug (bottoming) tap supplied together on a display card for clear identification and organised storage. This pairing means a complete threading operation can be carried out with a single purchase removing the need to source taper and plug taps separately.
