Worn or inaccurate tyre gauges slow workshop throughput and compromise vehicle safety. The PCL AFG4H05 is an AIRFORCE® MK4 linear tyre inflator with a 1.8 m (6 ft) hose and twin clip-on tyre valve connection, designed for tyreshop and professional workshop use. The AIRFORCE® MK4 features a biomorphic, ergonomic body shape that reduces user fatigue during repetitive inflation tasks and is less prone to damage when dropped. A new enlarged viewing window delivers a 20% greater field of view over previous generations, and the gauge body weighs 923 g. PCL's two-stage valve mechanism removes the need to push against full line pressure during deflation, reducing operator effort. An improved piston and seal design reduces internal friction, prevents corrosion, and maintains gauge accuracy over extended service life. The calibration range runs from 0–138 psi (0–9.6 bar) and the unit has been tested to over 400,000 cycles at 100% accuracy, compliant with BS EN 12645:2014. The AFG4H05 is rated to a maximum inlet pressure of 200 psi (13.8 bar). PCL state the AIRFORCE® MK4 can cover more than ten times as many cycles as its main contender, attributing this to the two-stage valve design — which avoids the filter-based approach used by competitors that PCL note can reduce product life by over 50% and slow inflation rates.
