Open-frame petrol generators are a practical solution where mains power is unavailable or unreliable, whether on a remote work site, during power outages, or wherever a portable supply is required. The Draper Expert 16066 addresses that need with a 196cc forced air cooled four-stroke OHV engine producing 6.5HP, delivering a rated AC output of 2,000W (2.50kVA) and a maximum AC output of 2,200W (2.75kVA). Recoil start keeps operation straightforward in field conditions. The generator is housed in a heavy-duty steel tubular frame fitted with oil and fuel resistant anti-vibration mounts, reducing transmitted vibration during extended use. A wheel kit is included to aid site mobility, important at a net weight of 39kg. An engine low oil shutdown feature protects the engine from running dry. Electrical output covers three circuits: one 230V 16A socket, one 110V 16A socket and one 12V DC output, making the unit suitable for both standard site tools and 110V safety-voltage equipment. The 15-litre fuel tank supports a continuous run time of nine hours at 75% load. The unit is compatible with both E5 and E10 petrol. Oil capacity is 0.6 litres; SAE 10W-40 oil is recommended and available separately. Noise output is rated at 95dB(A). Supplied as standard with a spark plug spanner, four combination spanners and a 12V charging lead. Overall dimensions are 590mm (H) x 485mm (W) x 480mm (D).
