Working in confined spaces with a conventional spanner means constantly repositioning the tool, slowing progress and increasing the risk of rounding fasteners. The Draper HI-TORQ® Metric Reversible Ratcheting Combination Spanner in 8mm addresses this directly with a ratchet ring end that requires only 5° of movement to turn a fastener, making it well suited to restricted access areas where a full swing arc is simply not possible. The ring end features a forward and reverse direction changer, allowing the operator to switch between tightening and loosening without removing the spanner from the fastener. The 90-tooth ratchet mechanism delivers precise, controlled engagement, and the 12-point HI-TORQ® ring end is cranked at 15° to clear obstructions and provide optimal leverage. The open end is similarly set at 15° for easier working in confined spaces. Constructed from chrome vanadium steel, the spanner is forged, hardened, and tempered for durability and resistance to wear under workshop conditions. The mirror chrome plating and full polish finish provide corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning. The spanner has an overall length of 140mm, appropriate for an 8mm fastener application.
