Workshop fasteners in tight, restricted spaces demand a tool that can operate through minimal arc — the Draper HI-TORQ® Double Ratchet Ring Spanner in 16 x 18mm is engineered precisely for that challenge. Its 90-tooth ratchet mechanism at both ring ends produces a working arc of just 4°, allowing the user to advance a fastener where a conventional ring spanner cannot complete a full swing. The spanner is forged from chrome vanadium steel that is hardened and tempered throughout, then fully polished and finished with a mirror chrome plate. This surface treatment provides corrosion protection alongside a clean, professional appearance suited to long-term workshop use. Fastener engagement is handled by the 12-point HI-TORQ® ring profile, which transfers torque directly to the flats of the fastener rather than the corners. This geometry maximises leverage and significantly reduces the risk of slipping or rounding the fastener head, making it well suited to high-torque applications where fastener condition matters. With both ends independently ratcheting, the 16mm and 18mm sizes are available in a single tool, providing versatility without the need to switch spanners on a job. This makes the Draper 27739 a practical addition to any professional or trade toolkit.

A. The Draper 27739 features a 90-tooth ratchet mechanism at both ring ends, producing a working arc of just 4°. This allows the spanner to be used effectively in confined spaces where a full swing is not possible.
A. It is forged from chrome vanadium steel that is hardened and tempered, then fully polished and mirror chrome plated to provide corrosion protection.
A. The 12-point HI-TORQ® ring profile transfers torque to the flats of the fastener rather than the corners, maximising leverage and reducing the risk of slipping or damaging the fastener head during high-torque applications.
A. The spanner covers 16mm and 18mm, with each size located at one ring end of the tool, so both sizes are available from a single spanner.
