Accessing pipework, nuts, and fittings in confined spaces demands a tool with a genuinely slim head profile — the KNIPEX Alligator® Water Pump Pliers in 250mm deliver exactly that, with a reduced joint and head area designed to reach where bulkier pliers cannot. The tool uses a 9-notch adjustment system that provides 30% more gripping capacity compared to conventional water pump pliers of the same length. The self-locking mechanism grips pipes and nuts without slipping, requiring low hand force from the operator. Gripping surfaces feature specially hardened teeth with a hardness of approximately 61 HRC, providing high wear resistance and stable, consistent gripping across repeated use. A box-joint design gives the tool high stability through a double guide arrangement, while the robust construction remains insensitive to dirt — making these pliers particularly suitable for outdoor work. A built-in pinch guard protects the operator's fingers from being pinched during use. The slim multi-component grips are designed without a collar, improving both handling and ease of transport. Capacity figures confirmed by source: pipe diameter up to 50mm (2 inches), and nut capacity up to 46mm. These pliers are supplied as a single unit as detailed in the product contents.
