Manufactured from chrome vanadium electric steel, oil hardened and tempered, the pliers are built to withstand demanding workshop and trade use. The parallelogram-shaped gripping surfaces feature specially hardened teeth to 61 HRC, providing high wear resistance and a positive grip on pipes and nuts without slipping. The accurately formed box-joint design offers double-guide stability, and reliable retention of the hinge bolt prevents unintentional shifting during use. Safety in operation is addressed through two dedicated features: a pinch guard prevents fingers being pinched between the handles, and a no-nip function stops the handles locking together and damaging the operator's hands.
