The KNIPEX 74 01 180 SBE High Leverage Diagonal Cutter addresses this through a combination of premium steel specification and a forged-on pivot mechanism that sets it apart from conventionally riveted diagonal cutters. Manufactured from chrome vanadium electric steel the cutter body is oil hardened and tempered throughout. The heads are smoothly ground with the cutting edges separately induction hardened to 64 HRC — a hardness level that enables clean cutting of piano wire and hard wire. Unlike conventional diagonal cutters that rely on a centre rivet the KNIPEX 74 01 180 SBE features a forged-on pivot which provides greater leverage and contributes to a more robust construction over the tool's service life. The 180 mm cutter is supplied with plastic coated handles and is manufactured to DIN ISO 5749 specifications. Each unit is display packed.
