The Knipex Electronic Super Knips® XL addresses this requirement with precision-ground cutting edges that carry no bevel, enabling precise and flush cutting of the finest wires in electronics assembly and fine mechanics applications. At 140 mm overall length — 15 mm longer than the standard Super Knips® — the XL variant delivers greater stability and greater cutting performance whilst retaining the slender profile required for close-surface work. The precisely shaped tips allow wires to be cut flush to a surface from as fine as ⌀ 0.2 mm diameter. Cutting capacity extends to ⌀ 1.2 mm for medium hard wire and ⌀ 0.2–2.1 mm for soft wire, covering the range of conductors typically encountered in electronic and precision mechanical work. The tool is manufactured from INOX surgical steel, making it durable and stainless, with a cutting edge hardness of approximately 54 HRC. The joint uses a stainless steel rivet machined to a precise fit, delivering extremely easy movement for fatigue-free operation over extended periods. An integrated opening spring and opening limiter provide automatic opening and a controlled handle width, supporting comfortable, ergonomic and fast working.
