The precisely shaped tips allow wires to be cut close to a surface from as little as 0.2 mm in diameter, making these pliers well-suited to intricate circuit board work, fine mechanical assembly, and detailed component trimming. The shear-cut action uses a controlled micro cutting edge misalignment, which delivers the most precise cutting of even the thinnest wires whilst also contributing to a long service life. The cutting edges are additionally induction-hardened to a hardness of approximately 60 HRC, and the tool is constructed from special tool steel with a burnished finish. The joint is secured with a stainless steel rivet for durability and an extremely smooth movement that minimises operator fatigue during extended use. An integrated opening spring and opening limiter aid single-handed operation, and the narrow head design allows access in confined spaces. Cutting capacities for soft wire range from 0.2 mm to 1 mm in diameter. Key dimensions are: jaw length 9 mm, jaw thickness at the joint 7.5 mm, and head width 12.5 mm. Overall length is 125 mm.
