Collecting rainwater in a butt is a smart way to keep your garden watered without running up the mains supply, but getting it out efficiently is another matter. The Sealey WPB50A solves that with a submersible pump built specifically for water butt use, delivering up to 50 litres (13 gallons) per minute directly onto your garden. Manufactured from corrosion resistant materials with a stainless steel motor case and Noryl® base cover, the pump is built to handle the damp, submerged conditions of a water butt day after day. The 350W motor pushes water to a maximum head of 10 metres, making it equally useful for raised beds, hanging baskets fed from above, or longer hose runs across larger gardens. It operates from a minimum water depth of just 50mm, so it will keep working even when the butt is nearly empty, and handles particles up to 0.5mm so minor sediment won't cause blockages. The 19mm outlet OD connects to standard garden hose fittings, and the pump comes supplied with a 2-piece aluminium swan neck extension pipe, an adjustable flow control feature, and a snap-on connector for quick, tool-free set-up. Cut-out is automatic, and the pump is rated for a maximum water depth of 5 metres. At 230V it runs from a standard UK socket.
