Construction sites and industrial workshops frequently require mains voltage to be stepped down and isolated before powering hand-held and bench-mounted tools — a requirement this Defender E203010 portable transformer is built to meet. Its centre-tapped-to-earth design delivers an additional layer of safety, and a resettable overload protection circuit guards connected tools and appliances while reducing unnecessary downtime. The transformer accepts a 230V AC, 50Hz, 13A input and delivers 110V AC output through two 16A sockets, giving simultaneous power to more than one tool or appliance. Rated at 1,650VA continuous and 3,000VA intermittent (duty cycle: 5 minutes on, 15 minutes off), it is suited to SDS drills, small demolition hammers, bench grinders, 4.5-inch angle grinders, jigsaws, circular saws, industrial fans, dehumidifiers and fume extractors. The unit is housed in a tough GRP case with an IP44 ingress protection rating, making it appropriate for use in wet or dusty site conditions. It is supplied ready to use with a 240V 13A plug and 2-metre cable. BSEN 61558-1 compliant. Dimensions: 190 x 240 x 260mm. Weight: 16.5kg.
