The Defender E205100 Power Pod Transformer answers that need with a tough polycarbonate casing and an integrated lifting handle with cable tidy and securing strap, making it straightforward to position and re-site across a busy worksite. The unit accepts a 230–240V input and delivers a 110V centre-tapped-to-earth output, providing the additional safety standard required for portable site tools. Two recessed 16A output sockets support a broad range of equipment including corded drills, demolition hammers, bench grinders, 4.5-inch angle grinders, jigsaws, circular saws, industrial fans, dehumidifiers, fume extractors and numerous lighting products. The recessed socket design affords mechanical protection against accidental disconnection. The transformer is rated at 3,300VA intermittent duty with a 5-minutes-on, 15-minutes-off duty cycle, and 1,650VA continuous duty. Output current is 2 x 16A and the rated power factor is 0.93 cos. An IP44 ingress protection rating confirms resistance to solid particle ingress and water splashing from any direction. Dimensions are 280 x 280 x 285mm; weight is 18.4kg. Supplied complete with a 1.8m H07RN-F 3x1.5mm black rubber cable and a 13A BS plug for immediate mains connection. The unit is compliant with BSEN 61558-1, the relevant standard for safety isolating transformers. No additional adapters or cables are required to begin operation on site.
