The SIP STARTMASTER DSC600B Digital Starter Charger (SKU 03587) is a powerful wheel-mounted digital starter charger designed for charging and boosting a variety of lead acid and Lithium-Ion battery types, making it ideal for battery charging and boost-start applications in automotive, agricultural and engineering workshop environments, including commercial vehicle batteries.
At the heart of the DSC600B is an intelligent microprocessor-controlled 10-step automatic charging cycle that diagnoses battery condition and voltage before initiating any charge. Battery auto-detect intelligently recognises 12v or 24v battery types, while low 1v detection improves the chances of recovering deeply discharged batteries. An Alternator Test mode indicates alternator working condition before charging or boosting is applied, and single-person operation enables one-user engine boost-starting. The unit is supplied with two 2-metre leads and clip clamps, and features an LED display screen with an intuitive soft-touch control panel. Wheel-mounted with a pull handle, the DSC600B offers outstanding workshop mobility.
The DSC600B accepts all 12v and 24v lead acid battery types — WET, MF, EFB, GEL, AGM and CA — as well as 12v 4-cell Lithium-Ion LiFePO4 batteries, with a maximum battery capacity of 550Ah. Charging current ranges from 10A to 30A continuously, with a boost charging current of 50A available for up to five minutes. For jump-start applications, the unit delivers a maximum start current of 620A on a fully discharged battery and 500A on a medium-charged battery. Input supply is 230v 50Hz with IP20 protection, and the unit operates within an ambient temperature range of 0°C to 20°C. Built-in safety features include an anti-spark system, reverse polarity and overcharge protection, and an automatic overheat alarm that restarts the unit once cooled.
