The SIP STARTMASTER DSC200B Digital Starter Charger (SKU 03584) is a powerful bench-top digital starter charger designed for charging and boosting a variety of lead acid and Lithium-Ion battery types. Operating from a 230v 50Hz input supply, it supports 6v, 12v and 24v battery voltages and is ideal for battery charging and boost-start applications in automotive, agricultural and engineering workshop environments, including use with commercial vehicle batteries up to 350Ah capacity.
At the heart of the STARTMASTER DSC200B is an intelligent microprocessor with a 10-step automatic charging cycle that diagnoses battery condition and voltage before initiating a charge. Battery auto-detect intelligently recognises 6v, 12v or 24v type prior to charging or boosting. The unit accommodates all 6v/12v/24v lead acid chemistries — WET, MF, EFB, GEL, AGM and CA — as well as 12v 4-cell Lithium-Ion LiFePO4 batteries. Low 1v detection improves the chances of recovering deeply discharged batteries, whilst Alternator Test mode indicates alternator health and performance. A single-operator design allows one-person engine boost-start without assistance.
Charging current is rated at 5A for 6v batteries, 10A for 12v and 10A for 24v, with boost charging currents of 25A (6v), 25A (12v) and 20A (24v) available for up to five minutes. For jump-start operations the unit draws 4.5kW/20A for five seconds, delivering a maximum start current of 200A on a fully discharged battery or 150A on a medium-charged battery. Safety is addressed through an anti-spark connection system, reverse polarity and overcharge protection, and an automatic overheat alarm that restarts the unit once cooled. The unit is rated IP20 and operates between 0°C and 20°C ambient temperature.
The STARTMASTER DSC200B is supplied with two 2-metre leads with clip clamps, an LED display screen, intuitive soft-touch control panel, cable tidy brackets and a carry handle. It is backed by the SIP 2-Year Standard Silver Warranty.
