Used oil filters are classified as hazardous waste, and disposing of them in their original state is both costly and wasteful. The Sealey OFC1 Oil Filter Crushing Unit is designed to work in conjunction with a workshop press to crush filters up to 115mm, removing most of the oil and sludge in the process. The expelled fluid drains via a 10 x 1250mm drain hose into a suitable container, which is not included. By reducing filters to a fraction of their original volume, the OFC1 significantly cuts the cost of hazardous waste disposal. The unit has an internal diameter of 130mm and an effective internal height of 175mm, accommodating a wide range of common oil filter sizes. It is suitable for 38mm (1.5") press rams as standard and is supplied with a ram extension that allows two-stage crushing of larger filters without needing to reposition the press table. For use with 50mm or 60mm press rams, optional adaptors are available: OFCA50 (50 x 115mm) and OFCA60 (60 x 115mm), sold separately.
