Airline connections that fail to seal or interchange with workshop equipment cause pressure loss and downtime. The PCL AC91CM is a Vertex series male quick-release coupling with an R 1/4 (BSP taper) male thread, manufactured in Sheffield by PCL, part of HORNGROUP, with a heritage dating to 1938.
The Vertex range is rated for a bore of 4.8 mm and a flow of 43 cfm at 100 psi, with a maximum working pressure of 14 bar (200 psi). The series operates across a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C, making it suited to both cold-store and heated workshop environments. The Vertex coupling interchanges with Cejn 295 and Rectus 19 series fittings.
The male thread configuration allows this coupling to connect directly to threaded ports on compressor outlets, airline manifolds, hose tails, and fixed equipment drops where a push-in female socket is already fitted on the receiving side.
