Worn or incompatible hose connections allow air to leak at the joint and interrupt compressed-air supply. The PCL AC21R is a hose tailpiece coupling from the PCL Airflow series, accepting 6.35 mm (1/4 in) inside-diameter hose, manufactured in Sheffield since 1938 as part of the HORNGROUP family of precision air-line fittings.
As part of the Airflow series, the AC21R shares the range's engineered performance envelope: a 4.8 mm bore, a rated flow of 43 cfm at 100 psi, a maximum working pressure of 14 bar (200 psi), and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +100 °C. The hose tailpiece format provides a secure push-fit mechanical grip on the hose end, creating a leak-resistant termination point compatible with other Airflow couplings and plugs throughout the series. The Airflow range is also noted as interchangeable with Cejn 295 and Rectus 19 series fittings.
The AC21R is a companion part within the Airflow coupling range. Other thread types and sizes are available within the same series — please reference the relevant SKU when selecting the correct entry point for your airline assembly.
