The SIP 01572 6" Swivel Head Metal Bandsaw is a 370W (0.5hp), 230V single-phase machine designed for accurate cutting of bar, tube and profile workpieces across a wide range of metal types. Constructed with a heavy-duty cast iron bow and an adjustable cast iron vice, the 01572 is built to withstand the demands of professional workshop use. A 3-speed belt-driven gearbox transmission delivers three selectable blade speeds — 20 m/min, 29 m/min and 50 m/min — allowing the operator to match cutting speed to the material at hand. Mitre cutting functionality and enhanced safety features are included as standard, and the machine is suitable for both stand-mounting and bench-mounting to suit different workshop layouts.
At 0°, the 01572 cuts circles and squares up to 110mm and rectangles up to 110mm x 150mm. Angled cutting at 45° accommodates circles and squares up to 85mm and rectangles up to 85mm x 110mm. Compatible materials include mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass and alloys, making the machine highly versatile across metalworking and engineering disciplines. The blade fitted is 1638mm x 12.5mm x 0.64mm. No coolant system is fitted.
