Portable outdoor heating demands a reliable, adjustable unit that can cope with large open spaces. The Draper 7867 free-standing propane space heater delivers between 3kW and 4.5kW (10,250–15,354 BTU) across two selectable power settings, making it suitable for heating areas of 20–80m², whether on a construction site, in a marquee, or within an agricultural building. The heater is built around durable Grade A ceramic plates mounted to a steel tubular stand. The angle of the stand is adjustable, allowing the direction of heat output to be redirected as required. A gas safety valve is fitted so that if the heater fails to ignite, the gas supply shuts off immediately. The unit operates on G31 propane gas at a normal pressure of 37mbar, with an injector size of 1.0mm and a fuel consumption rate of 0.22–0.33kg/hr depending on the selected output. The heater is designed for use with 7–15kg propane cylinders, which are available separately. It is supplied complete with a 90° hose connector, a gas regulator, and a 1.5m hose, and the stand is straightforward to assemble and connect to a gas cylinder. A carry handle is fitted to the unit for ease of transportation between locations. Total weight is 2.2kg, keeping the heater genuinely portable for single-operator deployment.
