Workshop and site environments lose heat rapidly, particularly in open or poorly insulated spaces — the Draper 7866 bottle-mounted propane space heater is designed to address that challenge directly. Grade A ceramic plates deliver radiant heat at two selectable output levels, giving the operator control between 3kW (10,250 BTU) on the low setting and 4.5kW (15,354 BTU) on the high setting, with a corresponding heating area range of 20–80m². The heater mounts directly onto the rim of a propane cylinder using a steel tubular bottle clamp, keeping the unit stable and the working area clear. The angle of the heating head is adjustable, allowing the direction of heat to be directed precisely where it is needed. An integrated gas safety valve ensures that if the burner fails to ignite, the gas supply is automatically shut off, providing an important layer of operational safety. The unit operates on G31 propane gas at a normal working pressure of 37mbar, with a 1.0mm injector and a fuel consumption rate of 0.22–0.33kg/hr depending on the selected output. It is compatible with propane cylinders of 7–15kg gas capacity, which are available separately. Supplied as standard with a 90° hose connector, regulator, and a 700mm hose. The complete unit weighs 1.8kg.
This portable gas bottle mounted heater is ideal for heating areas up to 80m². Durable Grade A ceramic plates are fixed to a steel tubular bottle clamp, to securely mount onto the rim of the propane cylinder. It is simple to use and the direction of heat can be altered by adjusting the angle of the stand. There are two power settings (low and high) allowing adjustable heat control of between 10,250-15,354 BTU (3-4.5kW). There is a gas safety valve installed, so if the heater does not light - the gas immediately shuts off. It is supplied with a 90º hose connector, regulator and 700cm hose. Designed for use with propane cylinders of 7-15kg gas capacity (available separately).
