At the core of this heater is a gold HeLeN-coated halogen lamp housed within a strong yet lightweight aluminium enclosure. The HeLeN coating increases efficiency in use, and the source notes a potential reduced energy consumption of up to 40% compared to conventional heaters. Rather than warming the air, this heater delivers targeted radiant heat directly to objects and surfaces.
