A broken heater element left inside the cylinder head after a failed glow plug removal is one of the most frustrating workshop problems and without the right tooling, it can mean removing the cylinder head to recover it. The Sealey VS315 Glow Plug Heater Element Removal Set is designed to save that time and effort by allowing extraction without cylinder head removal. The method works by drilling and tapping a thread into the broken element, then using the supplied glow plug adaptors to draw it out. The set includes seven drilling and tapping guides in M8 x 1, M10 x 1, and M10 x 1.25mm, and five glow plug extraction adaptors in M8 x 1, M10 x 1, and M10 x 1.25mm. Tap and threaded rod sizes are M3 x 0.5 and M4 x 0.7mm, with drill diameters of 2.5mm and 3.3mm. Everything is supplied in a storage case for convenience.
