Match the internal bore diameter to the fittings already fitted to your machine, manifold, or tap connection. Common trade sizes run from 1/4 inch up to 1 inch bore. A bore that is too small will restrict flow and build back-pressure; too large and the hose will not seal correctly on push-fit or barbed connectors. Measure the existing hose's internal diameter or check the machine's service documentation for the specified bore size before selecting a replacement.

The hose's rated working pressure must meet or exceed the maximum operating pressure of your system. For pressure washing supply lines, this is typically higher than general coolant or site-water runs. The working pressure figure is listed on each product page. Do not select a hose based on bore alone: a correctly sized but under-rated hose will balloon or fail at the couplings under load, particularly where pressures fluctuate during operation.

Water hose and oil hose use different inner compounds. A hose rated for water only will degrade when exposed to oil or petroleum-based fluids, leading to swelling, softening, or premature coupling failure. If a hose run is likely to contact oil incidentally, select a hose with a compound rated for both.
