Variations
Air hose assemblies that are poorly matched to a system waste compressed air and create connection problems at the coupling point. The PCL HA2046 is a 20-metre air hose assembly built around 10 mm (3/8 in) internal-diameter hose, fitted at both ends with Rp 1/4 swivel end fittings — supplied ready to connect, without the need for site crimping. PCL manufacture their hose assemblies in Sheffield and have done so since 1938, as part of the HORNGROUP.
The hose is constructed from a high-performance TPE compound that, according to PCL, looks and feels like rubber while avoiding rubber's associated limitations. The swivel end fittings allow the assembly to be routed and connected without twisting the hose body, supporting a clean, kink-free installation across a workshop run.
At 20 metres, the HA2046 is suited to fixed or semi-fixed airline installations where a pre-assembled, correctly terminated run is preferred over site-made hose. The Rp 1/4 swivel ends are compatible with standard BSP threaded ports as used throughout compressed-air distribution systems.
