The Draper 41068 HSS bi-metal holesaw blade addresses this with a hardened M3 steel cutting edge welded to a tough alloy steel body, a construction that reduces the risk of shattering and delivers a durable, hardwearing tool suitable for repeated use in stubborn materials. The variable pitch design enables a fast, clean cutting action, and the blade is suitable for use in metals including steel, brass, bronze, cast iron and aluminium, as well as wood and plastic. Maximum cutting depth is 35mm. Four side slots assist slug removal after each cut, keeping the work area clear and the blade free. The female threaded spindle accepts a 9.5mm arbor, making it straightforward to attach to a standard power drill. When cutting metal, the use of a cutting lubricant is advisable to prolong the service life of the holesaw. Draper recommends their Metal Cutting Lubricant (Stock No. 76109, 400ml) for this purpose. The blade is supplied individually at the 17mm diameter.
