These 50 x 686mm cloth sanding belts from Draper are constructed from aluminium oxide grain that is resin bonded to the backing, delivering efficient cut resistance and long-lasting performance across demanding applications. The electrostatic sand planting and open coat aluminium oxide grain work together to aid chip removal and heat dissipation during use, reducing the risk of surface burning and premature belt wear. A special butt joint minimises the effect of vibration across the work surface, helping to produce a smooth and even finish throughout the sanding pass. The strong X-weight polycotton cloth backing gives each belt the flexibility to conform to contoured surfaces whilst maintaining the durability required for intensive loading. This combination of backing weight and construction enables the belts to perform reliably across different pressure applications. At 180 grit, these belts are suited to sanding and finishing wood, metal, aluminium alloy, painted surfaces, plastic, and fillers. They are compatible with all 50 x 686mm belt sanders, including Draper Stock No. 05096. Each pack contains five belts.
