Variations
Salt, spray and chemicals make short work of plated steel; a hose clip for that duty has to be stainless through and through.
This is the 25-35mm size of the Hi-Grip worm drive range. Where cheaper clips cut their threads and leave sharp band edges, JCS rolls the screw threads for strength and fully rounds the band edges so the hose is protected as the clip bites. JCS publishes a recommended torque of 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in) for this size - seat the clip centrally on the barb and work up to it gradually. Hi-Grip exceeds BS5315 and holds BSI Kitemark and NATO approvals.
Built from 18/8 marine-quality 304 stainless steel (EN 1.4301), it holds Lloyd's Register Type Approval for marine, offshore and industrial use. JCS stainless clips are used across water and drainage plant - pumping solutions, stormwater and overflow systems, wastewater treatment and irrigation networks. Size by the fitted outside diameter of the hose and seat the clip centrally over the barb.

A. It adjusts between 25-35mm. Measure the outside diameter of your hose when fitted over its pipe or fitting - if that measurement falls within 25-35mm, this clip fits. JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 1 to 1 3/8 in, covering common 1 and 1 1/4 in hose sizes.
A. JCS recommends 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in) for this size. Position the clip centrally over the hose barb and tighten incrementally to that torque - over-tightening can damage the hose.
A. Yes - every component is the same grade of stainless steel, verified through JCS's salt mist testing, so there is no mixed-metal weak point to corrode first.

A. Hi-Grip 304 stainless is marine-quality 18/8 steel with Lloyd's Register Type Approval and is suited to saltwater service. A. JCS designs against it: the hex screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with rolled threads, so it holds its setting and will not round off. On high-vibration equipment, JCS's guidance is to recheck the clip after service to keep the seal intact.
