Where a seized, rusted clip means cutting the joint apart, specifying stainless from the start pays for itself at the first service.
Worm drive clips seal by drawing the band evenly through a captive screw housing, and the HGS40PM1 adds the JCS details that make that reliable - a 30-40mm adjustment span, a cold-headed, work-hardened hex screw with rolled threads that will not round off, and fully rounded band edges. Recommended tightening torque for this size is 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in). Manufactured to exceed BS5315, Kitemarked and NATO approved.
Every component is the same grade of 304 stainless steel, verified by JCS's salt mist testing, so there is no plated screw or mixed-metal weak point to corrode first. Lloyd's Register Type Approval covers marine, offshore and industrial service. Choose the size whose adjustment range covers the fitted outside diameter of your hose; the 5-pack covers a full circuit or keeps spares aboard.

A. It adjusts between 30-40mm. Measure the outside diameter of your hose when fitted over its pipe or fitting - if that measurement falls within 30-40mm, this clip fits. JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 1 3/16 to 1 9/16 in, covering common 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 in hose sizes.
A. JCS recommends 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in) for this size. Position the clip centrally over the hose barb and tighten incrementally to that torque - over-tightening can damage the hose.
