Measurements can be displayed in either millimetres or inches, giving the operator full flexibility across metric and imperial applications. The thumb roller and locking screw work together to enable smooth sliding, accurate positioning, and fine adjustment along the full 200mm range. The zero button can be used at any time during measurement, allowing the operator to account for differences between reference points without resetting the entire measurement process. The caliper body is constructed from hardened stainless steel, providing durability and resistance to the wear associated with regular workshop use. Power is supplied by an included LR44 alkaline button cell battery, and an auto power-off mechanism activates after five minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. The caliper is supplied in a protective plastic storage case, keeping the instrument secure when not in use.
