Achieving accurate, consistent vertical drilling with a hand drill is difficult without a solid mounting solution. The Sealey DS01 Drill Stand solves this with a heavy cast iron base that holds a standard hand drill securely in position for precise vertical drilling. Compatible with hand drills with a collar diameter of 43mm, or 38mm when used with the included adaptor bush, the DS01 accommodates a wide range of common hand drills. A preset depth control and stop allows drilling depths of up to 60mm to be set and repeated accurately. The stand measures 500mm in overall height, with a column diameter of 25mm and a collar centre-to-column distance of 120mm. The maximum distance from collar to base is 345mm. A 65mm drill vice is supplied with the stand and mounts directly onto the cast iron base to hold the workpiece firmly. The vice features a quick jaw release for fast and easy adjustment, with a jaw width of 65mm, jaw depth of 25mm, and a jaw opening of up to 70mm. The base measures 155 x 220mm, providing a stable footprint on the workbench.
