Stripped, crossed, or corroded threads are a common frustration in any workshop, often turning a straightforward repair into a costly delay. The Sealey AK311 Re-Threader Master Kit provides a comprehensive 42-piece solution for restoring damaged internal and external threads without undercutting the good thread material around them. The kit includes taps and dies covering Metric, National Fine, and National Coarse thread forms, along with two thread restorer files capable of handling both right- and left-hand external threads across a wide range of thread pitches. Metric taps and dies range from M6x1 through to M12x1.75mm. National Fine taps cover 1/4" x 28 through to 9/16" x 18tpi, with dies extending to 5/8" x 18tpi. National Coarse taps cover 1/4" x 20 through to 9/16" x 12tpi, with dies extending to 5/8" x 11tpi. Thread Restorer File #1 covers 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, and 24tpi; File #2 covers 9, 10, 12, 16, 20, 27, 28, and 32tpi. The complete set is supplied in a storage case for organised, protected storage in the workshop.
