Workshop wheel servicing demands precision equipment capable of handling the full range of passenger and LGV wheel and tyre combinations. The Draper Expert Tyre Changer and Wheel Balancer Kit (16235) delivers a complete two-machine solution for professional tyre fitting and balancing operations. The semi-automatic tyre changer is powered by a fully motorised turntable with pneumatically operated clamping jaws and bead breaker, enabling the removal and replacement of conventional tyres on wheels up to 23" rim diameter with internal locking (13" to 23") and external locking (11" to 21"). A maximum tyre outside diameter of 40" (1000mm) and wheel width range of 3" to 14" are supported. The bead breaker delivers 2,100kg of force and is fitted with a large anti-skid rubber pad to preserve tyres and rims. A self-centring four-jaw chuck ensures correct clamping of wheel rims, whilst plastic protectors on the mounting head safeguard alloy rims. The changer is powered at 230V with a 0.75kW motor and requires a pneumatic supply of 90–115psi (6–8 BAR). The semi-automatic wheel balancer achieves an accuracy of 1 gram, balancing wheels up to 65kg and 24" in diameter with a cycle time of 8–10 seconds at 200RPM. It is supplied with a calibration weight and accepts rim capacities from 10" to 20". Both machines run from standard 13-amp plugs and come comprehensively accessorised with four centring cones, centring shaft, wheel weight pliers, hub nut and rim width calipers, tyre lever, filter regulator lubricator, alloy rim protectors, head tongue protectors, inflation gun, and air hose. Suitable for passenger and LGV wheel and tyre combinations.
