Changing low profile and run flat tyres demands equipment that matches the task — standard machines lack the mechanical assistance and clamping precision these tyre types require. The Draper Expert 78612 semi-automatic tyre changer addresses this directly with a built-in assist arm (also known as a third arm), a fully motorised turntable, pneumatically operated clamping jaws, a powerful pneumatic bead breaker, a tilt column, all working together to make the removal and replacement of demanding tyre profiles both fast and controlled. The self-centring four-jaw chuck controlled by two clamping cylinders ensures wheel rims are correctly clamped at all times. Alloy rim protection is built into the design: the mounting head is fitted with plastic protectors and the bead breaker is equipped with a large anti-skid rubber pad to preserve both tyres and rims during the breaking process. The machine handles wheels up to 26 inches in diameter (internal locking) and wheel widths from 3 to 18 inches with a maximum wheel diameter of 45 inches. Key specifications include a 1.1kW motor 230V power supply from a standard 13-amp 3-pin plug a bead breaker force of 2 and a pneumatic supply requirement of 90–115psi (6–8 bar). Overall dimensions are 1 900 x 1 950 x 1 and the unit weighs 350kg.
