Delivering dependable self-service air and water provision on the petrol forecourt takes equipment engineered for constant public use in all weathers, and the PCL D98SS10T/P0 is built for exactly that duty. This is the D98 Air & Water Tower, 5.5 bar, psi/bar, hold-on, GBP — the latest air and water tower design with integrated hose reels from PCL, built in the UK and constructed to meet the exacting and testing demands of the modern petrol forecourt while providing an attractive and stylish appearance. The stainless steel or painted casings offer long life and the ability to resist the harsh forecourt environment while keeping the unit looking good, and every component from the housing through to the tyre inflator and hoses is built for ease of use, reliability and long life. Inflation is fully preset and automatic: the road user sets the required pressure electronically, and auto-start inflation with audible and visual end-of-cycle signals and a default-to-safe setting does the rest, displayed on the 30 mm transflective backlit LCD fitted as standard with a psi/bar reading sequence. Pressure measurement is accurate to ±0.5% of full-scale reading at a display resolution of 1 psi / 0.1 bar, with auto zero drift correction, a maximum inlet pressure of 232 psi / 16 bar, maximum inflation pressure of 145 psi / 10 bar and an inflation flow of 400 l/min with a 10 bar mains air supply. The unit features a built-in 5.5 bar compressor option for sites where mains air is not available, and this model is supplied with the hold-on tyre valve connector on a 7.6 m / 25 ft air hose alongside a 4 m / 13 ft water hose with radiator filler. This variant is factory-configured with a GBP coin mechanism in the standard stainless steel finish. The cabinet measures 1425 mm high x 573 mm wide x 445 mm deep with an IP44 cabinet rating and IP65-rated electronic inflator unit, operates from -20°C to 70°C in up to 95% RH, and accepts 230 Vac or 100/120 Vac nominal supplies. Compliance covers EC Directive 86/217/EEC, BS EN 12645:1999 and most EU national directives, and towers can be customised from standard specification to individual site requirements.
