Coil spring replacement demands a tool that combines grip, strength, and reliable safety margins — the Draper 85214 Coil Spring Compressor Set is engineered to meet those demands in a professional workshop environment. The set features a 'wrap-over' claw design that delivers an increased safety jaw capacity accommodating coil springs from 95 mm to 235 mm. The compressors are hardened and tempered throughout providing the structural integrity required when working under the considerable loads generated during spring compression. The drive arrangement comprises a 21 mm hex size with a 1/2"" square drive allowing use with a standard breaker bar or torque wrench for controlled measured compression. The M16 threaded bar carries a chemically blackened finish that provides a degree of corrosion resistance suited to workshop conditions. The set is supplied as a 2-piece pair as is standard practice for balanced coil spring compression work.
