The Draper 70807 12V Battery Starter Charger addresses this through microprocessor-controlled charging that regulates the charge cycle automatically, reducing the risk of overcharging and extending battery service life.Equipped with a battery recondition and desulphation mode, the unit is suitable for use on lead-acid, Gel, AGM and MF batteries. A 50A engine start function is available for situations where a vehicle requires an immediate boost. Charging current is selectable across four rates — 2A, 5A, 10A and 20A — giving the operator precise control over charge speed depending on battery size and condition. The large, easy-to-read LCD screen and mode selection control panel allow clear monitoring and adjustment at a glance. Polarity protection safeguards both the unit and the battery against incorrect connection, while dual USB ports (rated at 1.0A and 2.4A) provide a convenient charging point for ancillary devices. Onboard power cord storage and an integrated clamp holder keep cables organised and ready for use.Constructed in a rugged housing fitted with heavy-duty carry handles, the unit is built for repeated workshop use. Electrical input is 230V at 13A, and the unit measures 305 x 195 x 110mm with a weight of 2.18kg. Supplied as a single unit.
