The Sealey START420 heavy-duty starter/charger delivers up to 420A (280A EN) starting power and 60A (40A EN) charge output across both 12V and 24V systems, making it suitable for everything from cars through to light commercial vehicles. It covers a battery range of 30-700Ah, so the vast majority of vehicles you're likely to encounter in a professional environment are within its capability. Designed for daily workshop use, the START420 features an analogue ammeter for accurate charge monitoring and switchable charge circuitry with three charging rates, giving you precise control over the charging process. Polarity protection is provided via a 110A fuse, and both the cable and clamp runs to 2.1m for comfortable reach around the vehicle. Large wheels make it straightforward to move around the workshop floor. The unit runs from a 230V supply and requires a 16A supply for starting duties. Note that performance is dependent on connection to an adequate, good clean electric supply.
