Modern vehicles fitted with stop/start systems, hybrid powertrains and complex electronics demand more from a battery charger than a simple trickle unit can provide. The Sealey ECS300 Electronic Charger Starter is a fully electronic, microprocessor controlled unit designed to meet those demands. It supports EFB, AGM/GEL (stop/start), Lead Acid, Lead Calcium and Silver Calcium batteries across a wide range of 4 to 350Ah, covering both 12V and 24V electrical systems. Up to ten analysis and charge phases, including trickle and maintenance modes, ensure each battery receives the correct treatment. ECS (Electronic Control Systems) technology delivers a stabilised charging current for improved efficiency and reduced charge times, with three preset charging rates plus one variable up to maximum current. Peak charge output is 45A (30A EN) and peak start output is 300A (200A EN), with a 2 metre cable and clamp set. Built-in surge and spike protection during charging and starting safeguards sensitive systems including ABS, airbag sensors, ignition and audio. Battery Support Unit (BSU) mode at 20A/13.5V keeps the battery supported during prolonged diagnostic checks and software updates, preventing drain. An LED readout provides an instant visual check of battery condition, charge current, voltage and charging rate. Polarity protection is provided by an 80A fuse. Supplied with a 2-year guarantee.
