Pressing operations demand consistent force delivery and a stable working platform — the Draper 70540 hydraulic floor press provides both through a robust hydraulic circuit rated to 20 tonnes, combined with a sliding ram that allows precise positioning over the workpiece. Nine adjustable table heights — 256, 366, 486, 606, 726, 846, 966, 1086 and 1106 mm — give the operator a wide range of working positions to accommodate components of varying sizes. The ram height to table spans 28 to 998 mm, and the ram delivers a stroke of 185 mm with a 40 mm diameter. The 550 mm wide working table provides a generous support area for larger assemblies. Accuracy is aided by a glycerine liquid-filled gauge of 105 mm diameter, rated across a 0–28 tonne range; the glycerine fill dampens needle oscillation and extends gauge service life compared with dry gauges. Each end of the flexible hydraulic hose is fitted with an anti-kink coil to guard against hose damage during use. A safety valve protects the press from overloading. The press stands 1,785 mm overall and weighs 113.5 kg. It is supplied complete with two flat V-shaped blocks and has been fully tested and certified for safe, reliable operation.
