Precision-machined pivot pins allow smooth one-handed operation with minimum play, and the two-part bi-material ergonomic soft grip handle maximises grip and user comfort. Integrated horns prevent slipping onto live conductors, making the tool safer to operate on energised installations. The maximum cutting capacity is 15mm. These shears carry VDE certification and have been tested to 10,000V, making them suitable for use on live circuits up to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC. The handle incorporates a tethered fixing solution designed to comply with Work at Height Regulations; a compatible lanyard (Stock No. 82474) and wrist strap (Stock No. 03740) are available separately.
