Cutting through mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel sheet demands a tool that combines precise blade geometry with reduced operator fatigue. The Draper 49905 Expert Soft Grip Compound Action Tin Snips deliver exactly that through a compound action mechanism that increases leverage at the blade, allowing the user to cut tougher materials with less hand effort. The straight-cut blades are forged from chrome molybdenum alloy steel correctly hardened and tempered to HRC 60–62 and finished with a shot blast surface. The serrated blade edges grip the workpiece during the cut reducing slip and improving control. Cutting capacities are 1.2mm mild steel 1.5mm aluminium and 0.8mm stainless steel. Spring-loaded handles return the jaws automatically after each stroke reducing repetitive strain during extended use. The moulded vinyl grips incorporate slip guards for a secure hold and the handles carry a black oxide finish with a chrome plated safety catch. The tool is display packed and supplied as a single unit.
