Hardened chrome vanadium steel construction and a mirror chrome plated finish make the Draper HI-TORQ® Extra-Long Double Ring Ratchet Spanner a robust choice for professional workshop and automotive use. The steel is hardened and tempered before being fully polished and mirror chrome plated, providing corrosion protection suited to demanding environments. The extra-long shaft improves access to fasteners in hard-to-reach spaces where a standard-length spanner would be obstructed. The 90-tooth ratchet mechanism requires only 4° of movement per swing, allowing the spanner to be used effectively in confined areas with very limited arc clearance. Both ring ends are 12-point HI-TORQ® profile. This geometry transfers torque to the flats of the fastener rather than the corners, maximising leverage while reducing the risk of rounding or damaging the fastener head. The 12mm sizing covers a widely used metric fastener dimension across automotive and general engineering applications.
