Compression fittings on petrol and diesel injection pipes, hydraulic systems, and gas or refrigeration lines demand a spanner that engages the nut without crushing the pipe itself. The Draper 16137 Flare Nut Spanner is purpose-designed for exactly this application, with an open-ended profile that fits over the pipe and seats squarely onto the compression nut to provide a secure, controlled grip. Manufactured from chrome vanadium steel, the spanner is hardened and tempered for durability, then chrome plated to resist corrosion in the demanding, fluid-exposed environments where flare nut spanners are most commonly used. The matt finish minimises glare in workshop conditions. The 9 x 11mm sizing makes this spanner suitable for a range of compression fittings encountered on hydraulic pipes, brake pipes, and similar systems. It is supplied display packed and ready for professional use.
Designed for use on compression nuts fitted on petrol, diesel injection pipes and hydraulic gas or refrigeration systems. Manufactured from chrome vanadium steel hardened, tempered and chrome plated for corrosion protection.

A. It is designed for use on compression nuts fitted on petrol and diesel injection pipes, as well as hydraulic, gas, and refrigeration systems. It can also be used on brake pipes and similar hydraulic pipe fittings.
A. A flare nut spanner fits over the pipe and seats onto the nut, providing more contact points than a standard open-ended spanner. This reduces the risk of rounding the nut on compression fittings where access is restricted by the pipe itself.
A. It is manufactured from chrome vanadium steel, hardened and tempered for strength and durability, then chrome plated to provide corrosion protection.
A. This spanner covers 9mm and 11mm compression nut sizes.
A. Standard UK mainland delivery is 3–5 working days.
