The interchangeable dies are changed quickly and easily without any additional tool, and are stored in a round magazine that keeps them sorted and protected when not in use. A precision ratchet mechanism — which is unlockable — ensures consistently high crimping quality on every cycle, delivering the same reliable results as fixed crimping dies. The 97 33 01 is designed for non-insulated open plug type connectors with plug widths of 4.8 mm and 6.3 mm. It accommodates a conductor capacity of 0.5–6.0 mm², spans AWG 20–10, and offers three crimping positions. Overall tool length is 250 mm. The dies supplied with this tool are not compatible with the KNIPEX Crimp System Pliers 97 43 200; the 97 49 xx die series for that platform will not fit the MultiCrimp® 97 33 01 or 97 33 02. Supplied as a single KNIPEX 97 33 01 MultiCrimp® Lever Action Crimping Pliers with 0.25–6.0 mm² capacity at 250 mm length.
