Achieving consistent, reliable crimps on wire ferrules demands a tool that eliminates guesswork at every squeeze. The KNIPEX 97 55 04 SB Self-Adjusting Crimping Pliers address this directly by adjusting automatically to the wire ferrule size, delivering precise and quick crimping without manual jaw adjustment between operations. The tool operates via a ratchet mechanism that ensures repetitive, high crimping quality throughout extended use. The mechanism is unlockable when required, a toggle lever provides optimum transmission of force for fatigue-reduced operation. Each pair of pliers is precisely set and calibrated in the factory prior to despatch, ensuring the tool performs to specification from first use. Crimping is performed in accordance with DIN 46228 parts 1 and 4, covering wire ferrules with a capacity range of ² to 16 mm², including twin wire ferrules up to 2 x 4 mm² or 2 x AWG 12. The tool carries UL approval when used in conjunction with KNIPEX wire ferrules 97 99 330–399. A single crimp profile with square compression is employed across this range. Constructed from special quality chrome vanadium electric steel, oil-hardened, the pliers feature an ergonomic, comfortable handle with a narrow handle width for smooth, lightweight operation. Overall length is 180 mm. Supplied as one pair of KNIPEX 97 55 04 SB Self-Adjusting Crimping Pliers.
